The mePed v2 is the next evolution of our quadruped robot kit. After the great success we've had with the v1 kits over the last year, the next logical step was to create a complete kit that includes everything you need to build your very own mePed robot!
Kits
The mePed v2 is available in three different kits, a Wood Kit, Base Kit, and the Complete Kit.

Wood Kit
The wood kit, as the name suggests, only contains the wood pieces that make up the structure of the mePed v2 walking robot. This is for those who already have the necessary fasteners, servos, and electronics but don't have a way to manufacture the mePed body.
With the mePed Wood Kit, you will be need to supply the following items:
- 8ea - 9 Gram Digital Servos
- 40ea - M3 x 10mm Screws
- 16ea - M3 x 12mm Screws
- 24ea - M3 Hex Nuts
- 32ea - M3 Nyloc Hex Nuts
- Arduino or other micro controller
- Power supply
- Sensors
- Misc wiring & supporting electronics
Base Kit
The mePed Base Kit contains the everything in the mePed Wood Kit as well as all the necessary fasteners and servos. It is still up to the user to choose which micro controller, sensors, and battery pack they would like to use. This is an advanced kit for people who would like to supply their own electronics and use a different controller such as a RaspberryPi, BeagleBone, etc.
With the mePed Base Kit, you will be responsible for supplying the following items:
- Arduino or other micro controller
- Power supply
- Sensors
- Misc wiring & supporting electronics
Complete Kit
The mePed Complete Kit includes everything needed to assemble and start having fun with your very own mePed Quadruped Robot! You'll get everything from the high quality wood pieces and fasteners that make up the body of the mePed to the custom printed circuit board, pre-programmed Arduino Nano controller, Ultrasonic Range Sensor, and IR Remote Control! You'll even get the hex and end wrenches needed to tighten the nuts and bolts. Just add 4AA batteries and you'll be up and running!

Open Source
Just like the mePed v1, the mePed v2 is completely open source! Below, you can find all the files to recreate your very own mePed v2 robot.

Download the source code that comes pre-programmed on the mePed v2 Arduino Nano Compatible Controller here: Starter Program
The mePed v2 uses an Arduino Nano Compatible controller with a CH340 USB to Serial interface. To reprogram the mePed, you will need to download the Arduino IDE as well as the CH340 USB to Serial Drivers.
